Style Experiences FAQ

How far in advance do I need to book?

Experiences are usually made within 2-3 weeks in advance.  Our weekend experiences are very popular so we advise booking these experiences 4-5 weeks in advance.  Of course if you have a specific date in mind you are welcome to email us directly to check availability (info@chicstyle.com.au).

 

How do the experiences work?

Upon booking an experience, you will receive a confirmation email with date options, where and when to meet, along with our contact information. On the date of the experience, we will meet at a specified location [usually a cafe] where we will have a 30 minute style consult on body shapes and colours, invaluable advice before you go shopping.  We will then go by foot from there.  Most experiences are 3 hours in length.

 

Is there much walking?

Our experiences are normally 3 hours in length, but walking is not too strenuous, with most experiences offering rest stops or tea breaks. The walks are approximately 1km – 2.5km, with a few stairs along the way. Heels are not advised.

 

Do you pick up from our Hotel?

We meet all clients for experiences at a specified location [usually a cafe].  Hotel pickups can be organised for an extra charge and for private experiences. Please email your request (info@chicstyle.com.au) as we offer chauffeur driven cars as well.

 

What if I am shopping for certain items?

If you are looking for certain things, please pass on this information before your experience.  If you are looking for something really specific we suggest you consider a one-on-one Styling experience.  We can tailor experiences to your requirements.

 

What if I have a large group?

CHIC have extensive experience with large groups and dealing with corporate events/ experiences of up to 100 people.  Please contact us to discuss your requirements further.

 

When should I make a reservation?

We suggest you wait to book your experience after your travel plans are finalized.  We recommend booking your experience at least 2 weeks in advance, but last-minute experiences are often available, so be sure to check with us!  Of course, the earlier you book the experience, the better your chance of getting the exact date you want.  With a team of stylists, we always try to accommodate you.

I’ve booked, now what?

You should receive an email confirmation straight away.  We will be in touch within 48 hours with the date options and further details.

 

I did not receive an automatic email after purchase!

Please contact us immediately so we can resolve this for you (info@chicstyle.com.au or +61 416 644 337).

 

What if I need to cancel my reservation?

What if it’s raining on the day of my experience?

Our experiences go ahead as planned, rain or shine. (Our stylists are experienced with the local weather, and will look for ways to keep you out of the rain as much as possible).  Sorry, but refunds are not available for rainy day or inclement weather cancellations.

 

How long is a experience voucher valid for?

Experience vouchers and Gift Vouchers are valid for 6 months from date of purchase.

 

What languages are the experiences conducted in?

All Chic experiences and styling sessions are conducted in English unless requested. 

An interpreter can be arranged for an additional fee.

 

Do Chic stylists accept tips?

The cost of the experience includes everything, but your guide will be happy to accept a tip if you feel that he/she

provided you with exceptional service.

 

How do we find you at the meeting area?

In advance of the experience you will be sent an email with meeting location and the name and contact details of your Stylist.  Our Stylists will have our signature CHIC Gift Bags placed on the table at your meeting location.

 

Who will be our Stylist?

All CHIC Stylists are featured on our “Our Stylists” page.  Due to the nature of our business it is difficult to guarantee who will be booked for your experience.  You will be notified of the Stylist booked for your experience prior to the date.  If you have a specific request, please let us know.

 

Do you cater for petite/ plus size women?

Our stylists have extensive experience catering to all body shapes and sizes.

 

Do you cater to men?

Yes, we offer Wardrobe Detox, some Hip Neighbourhood experiences plus our popular James Bond experience is just for men.

 

Where do you take your clients shopping?

CHIC Experiences focus on emerging and Australian designers and cater to a cross section of budgets and styles.  We like to showcase best kept secrets and boutique stores you may not find on your own.

 

Does CHIC Style work receive commission from the stores you take your clients shopping at?

No, absolutely not.

 

Should I have a Wardrobe detox before a Personal shopping experience?

It is not necessary to have a Wardrobe detox prior to a Personal Shopping experience however the two experiences do compliment one another well.

 

Can I extend my personal shopping experience if we run out of time?

Yes, additional hours are charged at $125 per hour, $150 per hour for senior stylists.

 

Do you do consults outside Sydney?

Yes of course, Travel costs are inclusive within 25km radius of Sydney. Outside 25km and within 70km there is $45 surcharge.  For any bookings outside the 70km radius, please contact us.

 

What should I wear on a Personal Shopping experience?

We suggest you come comfortably dressed in easy trying on clothes as you will be trying on clothing.  Nude underwear is good too.

 

Can you organise a complete head to toe makeover session?

Yes, at CHIC Style we specialise in transforming women and the complete makeover including a new hairstyle, makeup session and lesson are very popular and rewarding package.

 

Are children allowed on the experiences?

Our shopping experiences are catered to adults over 18 years of age.  If you have special requirements for children please contact us directly to discuss.
